Thai celebrities wearing WHOOP: seven stars, the bands they chose, and the WHOOP story

Chompoo Araya, Baifern, Due Arisara, Lingling, Orm, Pei and Punpun: which WHOOP bands they wear, from LUXE MORE’s Spotted On series, plus what WHOOP is, where it came from, and how to pick a band for the same look.

Three LUXE MORE Spotted On graphics fanned out: Punpun Sutatta, Chompoo Araya and Due Arisara with WHOOP bands in many colours

In short

  • LUXE MORE’s Spotted On graphics collect Thai celebrities wearing WHOOP in photos they posted themselves: Chompoo Araya, Baifern Pimchanok, Due Arisara, Lingling Kwong, Orm Kornnaphat, Pei Panward and Punpun Sutatta.
  • The bands seen most are SuperKnit Luxe and LeatherLuxe with gold or rose gold clasps, which read as jewellery more than fitness gear.
  • WHOOP is a screenless strap that tracks your body; everything shows in the app, and it runs on a membership.
  • Choose shop bands by device: SuperKnit Luxe fits WHOOP 5.0, while SportFlex fits 5.0 and MG and includes ECG contacts. Our bands do not fit WHOOP 4.0.

The LUXE MORE team collected public photos posted by all seven celebrities and turned them into the Spotted On series, identifying the WHOOP device and band visible in each look. These are observations from public posts, not evidence that anyone endorses WHOOP or LUXE MORE products. We do not claim sponsorship unless the person or brand has stated it publicly.

What WHOOP is

WHOOP is a wrist strap that tracks your heart rate, sleep and recovery around the clock. The device has no screen and no notifications; everything lives in the app. There are three headline numbers: Recovery, how ready your body is this morning; Strain, how much load your body took on that day; and Sleep, whether last night covered what your body needed.

With no watch face, WHOOP looks more like a fabric or leather bracelet than a smartwatch, and the band changes in under a minute with the Fast Link system. So across the Spotted On photos it sits with every kind of outfit, from a T-shirt and jeans to evening wear and swimwear.

The WHOOP story

WHOOP began in 2012 at the Harvard Innovation Labs in Boston, founded by Will Ahmed, then a Harvard student-athlete, with John Capodilupo and Aurelian Nicolae. The name comes from a phrase Ahmed used to fire himself up before games. The first strap came out in 2015, followed by new versions in 2016 and 2019, and WHOOP 4.0 arrived in 2021.

In May 2025 WHOOP launched WHOOP 5.0 alongside WHOOP MG, which adds Heart Screener for on-demand ECG readings. Both last 14 days or more per charge. WHOOP has always run on a membership: without one, the device stops tracking.

In world sport, Cristiano Ronaldo became an investor and ambassador in 2024, Rory McIlroy is both an investor and a user, and Patrick Mahomes and Kevin Durant are among its investors. WHOOP is also an official partner of the PGA Tour, the LPGA, MLB, the NFL Players Association, the WTA and CrossFit.

How to choose a band for the look

  • Work or evenings: SuperKnit Luxe or LeatherLuxe with a gold or rose gold clasp; match the metal to the jewellery you wear.
  • Workouts or water: WHOOP lists its own SportFlex as waterproof silicone; its fabric and leather bands aren’t waterproof.
  • Every day and for sleep: SuperKnit or CloudKnit, which WHOOP rates its softest bands for sleeping.
  • If you like to switch: keep two or three bands in different tones, say one neutral, one bright and one with a metal clasp for dressier days.

How to choose a band for WHOOP 5.0 or MG

WHOOP sells band options by device version, so check whether the product page lists 5.0 or MG before buying. ECG on MG requires an ECG-compatible band with conductive contacts. WHOOP 4.0 bands do not fit 5.0 or MG.

Frequently asked questions

Are these celebrities WHOOP ambassadors?

This article is based on photos the celebrities posted publicly. We have no information on whether any of them is a WHOOP ambassador or sponsored by WHOOP, and none of them is connected with LUXE MORE.

How is WHOOP different from a smartwatch?

WHOOP has no screen and no notifications. It focuses on sleep, recovery and how hard each day was, shows everything in the app, runs on a membership, and the 5.0 and MG batteries last 14 days or more.

Where can I buy the bands they wear?

The bands in the photos are WHOOP’s own and are sold by WHOOP. LUXE MORE sells third-party replacements; choose by the device version listed on the product page rather than by colour name alone.

What works with your bands on a WHOOP MG?

Our SportFlex version listed for MG includes ECG contacts. Check every other product separately; if its page does not state MG or ECG support, do not assume it supports them.
