In short
- If you only have one band, match it to the clothes you wear most. For most wardrobes that means a neutral such as navy or brown.
- Choose the clasp by the jewellery you wear every day: gold if you mostly wear gold, titanium-tone if you wear silver or a silver watch.
- Brown suits earth tones and linen, navy works every workday, white brightens light outfits, and aqua is a focal point that is still easy to wear.
- If you want two, make the first a neutral and the second a colour you want to stand out, or one with the other clasp colour.
Your clothes change every day, but your WHOOP band usually doesn't: it stays on day and night. One band has to work with almost everything you own, so which colour looks best can't be answered from a shop page alone. Your wardrobe and the jewellery you already wear matter too.
Start with your wardrobe
Open your wardrobe and see which tones dominate. The easiest band colour sits in the same family as most of your clothes, or is a neutral that clashes with nothing.
| What you wear most | Easy band colour | Clasp |
|---|---|---|
| White shirts, suits, dark workwear | Deep navy | Gold or titanium-tone, to match your jewellery |
| Linen, cream, beige, earth tones | Brown | Gold |
| White, cream, pastels | White | Gold |
| Denim, plain tees, weekend clothes | Aqua | Titanium |
| All black | Deep navy or black | Gold, if you want the clasp to show |
Treat the table as a starting point, not a rule. If you love a colour, wear it; just give it something in the outfit to echo, such as shoes, a bag or jewellery.
Gold or titanium-tone clasp
The clasp is the only metallic-coloured part of the band, and it sits closest to your rings, bangles or watch. If you usually wear a gold chain, gold rings or a gold watch, a gold clasp reads as part of the same set. If you wear silver, white gold or a silver watch, a titanium-tone clasp blends in better.
If you rarely wear jewellery, hold something gold and something silver near your wrist. Whichever makes your skin look brighter, choose that clasp colour.
If you add charms, factor in their colour too. Amulette charms are silver-toned, so they sit well with a titanium-tone clasp; The Little Things charms come on a gold slide and go with a gold clasp.
What to wear with each colour
Brown: earth tones and linen
Brown goes with linen shirts, cream, beige, a woven bag and brown leather shoes. The look feels warm and settled, and you don't have to think hard about what to wear. A gold clasp nudges the band a little further towards jewellery.

Navy and dark shades: one band for every day
If you'll only own one band, deep navy is hard to get wrong. It works with a white shirt, a suit, denim or gym kit, and looks softer than pure black. For a black-and-gold look, try deep navy with a gold clasp: from a distance it reads almost black, and only in the light does the blue come through.

White: lifts light outfits
A white band makes white, cream and pastel outfits look cleaner. With dark clothes it becomes the contrast point instead. On days of hard training or long hours outdoors, you can switch to a darker band and keep the white one for workdays.

Aqua: a statement that's still easy
An aqua like ours makes the wrist the focus, yet it still goes with a white tee, denim, a striped shirt and navy. The titanium-tone clasp shares aqua's cool tone, so the look stays fresh and clean, for weekends or for workdays that don't call for formal clothes.
Other bright colours: echo one colour in the outfit
Pink, green or red look intentional when they repeat one colour in the outfit, such as a print on a dress, the top underneath or your shoes. If the rest is plain, a bright band can carry the look on its own.
One band, or two to swap
Starting with one? Pick the neutral that suits most of your clothes. When you want a change, make the second band a colour you want to stand out, or the other clasp colour, so you're covered on both gold days and silver days.
Colours in our shop
On our SuperKnit Luxe bands, we have already paired each band colour with a clasp colour. Below are the four colours discussed in this article.

Our bands are third-party replacements that fit WHOOP 5.0 and WHOOP MG (Life). On an MG they can’t take ECG readings, which need WHOOP’s own MG bands; everything else works as normal. They don’t fit WHOOP 4.0.
Frequently asked questions
Which WHOOP band colour goes with everything?
Dark neutrals such as navy or black go with almost anything. If you prefer warm tones, deep brown is just as easy.
What's the difference between a gold and a titanium-tone clasp?
Gold looks warmer and stands out more, and suits gold jewellery. Titanium-tone is a greyish silver that looks understated and blends with silver jewellery or a silver watch.
Which band colour suits darker or fairer skin?
There's no fixed rule, but tan to deeper skin often suits brown, cream, white and a gold clasp, while fair, pink-toned skin often suits navy, aqua and a titanium-tone clasp. If you're unsure, hold something gold and something silver at your wrist and compare.
I want a black-and-gold WHOOP band. What should I choose?
A dark band with a gold clasp gives you that look. Our Midnight with a gold clasp is a deep navy that reads almost black from a distance.
